The Pirates’ Women’s team take their first win in club history with a tough 20-14 victory over the Nepean Ducks at Kingswood.
We once again got off to a slow start, down 0-14. But, yet again, had a strong driving that simply ran out of time, going into half time.
The second half saw a new Pirate team, inspired by words from their head coach. Two touchdowns brought the score to 12-14. Then, like a movie script, the needed touchdown was scored with a 2 point conversion. 20-14 Pirates with 6 minutes left in the game. Defence held on to give the Pirates’ Women’s team their first win in club history.
